This chair was designed by Gordon Russell and made at the Russell Workshops in Broadway, Worcestershire. It was marketed as the Gimson Fireside Chair. It is one of a pair formerly owned by Paula Morel (1905–1996), an actress who lived and worked at Dartington Hall, Devon.
