Satinwood with original printed cotton

This chair was designed by A.H. Mackmurdo and the Century Guild for Henry Boddington’s (1849-1925) drawing room at Pownall Hall, Wilmslow, Cheshire. Tt was probably made by E. Goodall & Co., Manchester. The upholstery fabric, Praise of the Soul, was designed by Herbert Horne (1864–1916).
