Description

A fruitwood and elm Windsor armchair, the bow back filled with a serpentine baluster splat and conforming spindles, the scrolled arms raised on curved supports and further serpentine spindles, the cushion-shaped seat with cabriole front legs and turned rear legs joined by serpentine H-stretchers.

English, c.1780-1830.

Dimensions

Ht: 37in.  W: 23½in.  D: 18in.

Condition

Generally good. The curved support to the right arm is replaced.
